Spring is Sport Season

A Civil War of sorts...The 39 yr old Uncle beats his 6 yr old Nephew!
Grady the sidewalk chalk artist draws his family

The Brewers opened up the season with a win on April 1st, however on April 2nd they lost to the Rockies.
But Braun hit his first homer and Chorizo pulls off the win in the sausage race.

For the first time Badger Football opened up a practice to the public.
Following practice the players took time to shake hands and talk to the fans. Grady was super excited to give the guys 5
Hello Bernie Brewer
We made a family trip to Miller Park to tailgate and enjoy some baseball. Unfortunately the Brewers didn't win.

Easter 2013

Mom's Easter Egg Decorators in Action
The kids were very excited to dye and hide eggs. In fact they enjoyed the hide and seek so much, they decided to raid the fridge the next morning and hide the uncooked eggs while Mom was in the shower. Clean Up on Aisle 6!
Hoppy Easter from the Phelps Family in Watertown!
Grady isn't afraid of the Easter Bunny, but he is excited to be hunting for more eggs!
Audra gives the Bunny a Hug! For the first time she isn't afraid of a mascot!
The weather was finally nice enough to get outside and just in time for egg hunting. So we played some baseball.
Audra gets some assistance from Masyn

Can't Find Me! Later on we played hide and go seek and I found Grady hiding like this.
If they can't hear me and I can't see them they will never find me.
On Sunday we visited Dodgeville and the kids got all dressed up for a picture with Grandma and Grandpa.
All Dressed Up in their Easter Finest

Wrapping Up March and Spring Break

The colder than normal spring has kept us all in the house quite a bit.
Even Brooks is impacted by the cold temps. Especially when Audra dresses him like one of her dolls.
Grady participated in his first run. The Irish Jig Jog was March 16th and Grady earned a medal.
What a difference a year makes. In 2012 temps this weekend were in the low 80's not the 20's like this year.
For Spring Break we stayed at the Chula Vista in the Wisconsin Dells. We also visited Knucklheads, the Outlet Mall, and ate at The High Rock, Culver's, Paul Bunyan's and the Moosejaw. We also saw the Croods at the theater.

Ice and Snow Battles

Friday Night was Hockey Night for us and 8 of our closest friends.
The Badgers returned to the Coliseum for their final WCHA regular season series. Unfortunately they lost 4-2 Friday.
Thank you to John, Paul, Missy, Kare, Duane, Michelle, Scott and Zach for joining us.
Looked outside and found this in the backyard... Winter won't die, just like the rebellion.

March Madness

Another sign of Spring Badger Hockey and Hoops getting close to playoff time.

Looking Forward to Spring

This pretty much sums up Winter.  Everything is either ice or snow covered.

Our buddy John and his trusty pal Josie hang out while ice fishing on Lake Monona.

Grady passes the cold winter days by playing Angry Birds.

Of course February also brings Valentine's Day. We Love You Mom!

I was able to catch a moment on camera of the kids at their new daycare this school year.
Allison reads to the kiddos before pick up time.

We are very proud of Cousin Luke who turns 6 on March 5th. Last month Luke tested out of Kindergarten and is now a 1st Grader. He has also tested into 2nd grade math. We are very impressed with him. However, Dr. Sheldon Cooper is not.

Unfortunately another down side to the winter doldrums seems to be some nasty cold bugs going around. Poor Audra missed two days of  school. But Daddy got to spend time with Audra and her princess castles while she got better.
The weekend before Cousin Luke's birthday we all got to go together to the Children's Museum. Fun had by all!

After the MCM we walked across the block to the State Capitol. But no one was working.

Grady meets his dad's Cousin Stephanie's daughter Mariah.
They were at Costco and apparently Grady was hungry for samples or babies!?!

Snow, Ice and Groundhogs

Cold Temps and Drifting Snow made for some interesting and early mornings.
Getting Colder
The beginnings of a WI Snow Storm.

Weather Wins
The Wisconsin River Bridge on Hwy 12 in Sauk City, WI.
If you are keeping score...the Fish were undefeated!
Someone should have taken their Shanty off the ice prior to previous week's rains and temps in the 50s.

Legos have taken over our home. A majority of which are Star Wars Themed.
